so the short answer is if you want to do 5-10 watt tests no worries.
You haven't described the fit problem so nobody can offer help with that.
Thanks for the responses! I am just worried about unbalanced cone excursion. Received these back from GPA and I dont want to do any damage to them. The problem is that the holes are a little ragged and not perfectly round. Also in a few spots the cuts are a little canted. The speakers did sit flush when they were mounted maybe I can have a pro recut them for me removing a slight amount of material. Thanks again
